After an incredible year career at General Motors, Tadge Juechter announced last week that he will be retiring this summer. That is great news for Juechter who at age 67 has more than earned a relaxing retirement for himself.

However, it is not such great news for Corvette fans that have enjoyed having Juechter as the Executive Chief Engineer of Corvette since To mark the occasion of his retirement we thought now would be the opportune time to look back at some of the top moments in his career. It is impossible to fully summarize 47 years in just ten highlights, but this list should at least give you an idea of how important Juechter has been to the Corvette program.

Juechter graduated from Stanford with degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering. But before he graduated, he worked on a GM assembly line during the summer for a couple of years. After graduation he landed his first full time job with the company. He would never work for another company. Juechter joined the Corvette program in under the management of chief engineer Dave Hill.
